I had a great time on the west coast visiting my cousin Anna and her family in Washington and my friends JoAnna and Joel up in Vancouver, Canada. I have had the opportunity to visit with a lot of people since i have been home and have taken a ton of pictures. I will start with this most recent trip and then move backwards 🙂
Starting in Washington –
apparently i brought some of our snowy chicago weather with me 🙂
Mt. Rainier – stunning (i would like to climb this one someday)
Columbia Tower – downtown Seattle (the 73rd floor provides a spectacular view)
my cousin, Anna, and i with some of the view behind
some of the view with the space needle at center – was glad for some insider information, courtesy of my friend tyler, regarding the towers superior height and view
my cousin, Anna, and her husband Dan – downtown Seattle (i love these two!!!)
lovely view near the waterfront
it was cold enough for the coat 🙂
Pikes Place fish market
coffee lover at the first starbucks 🙂
view from the bus, nearing Vancouver
went to the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra with my friends JoAnna and Joel – amazing
joel, a new friend, John Mark, and JoAnna
ceiling and chandelier at the theater
part of downtown Vancouver from Stanley Park
me and JoAnna took a bike ride around the park – wonderous
Jo and i at Lions Gate bridge
some postcards and my hot chocolate at Granville Island
me and joel – at Jo’s place – we relived some Tanzania days by making some french toast and playing cards (joel always wins – this time was no exception)
Back in Seattle – by good fortune my bus from Vancouver arrived early into Seattle, giving me 3 hours to enjoy the sunshine downtown before catching my train to Tacoma.
waterfall/garden that i found while walking down 2nd St.
man sitting on a bench
flower cart on 1st St.

Roy, WA – a small little town a couple hours south of seattle where my cousin and her family live
Roy water tower
the shoe tree – graduation tradition is to throw shoes into this tree
my cousin Anna’s youngest, Damien
Me and Gabe, her first born 🙂 he is 4
finally got the little one to sit still long enough for me to get a picture of both of us.
Trip home –

sunset at Kansas City airport
that is all from this past trip… more coming soon!
