Our first day of GAKAC outreaches was focused on the east side of Ouagadougou. Our team of 12 started early in preparation for the three schools that we would be visiting.
Two different dramas were prepared for each school. First a very energetic and fun social program taught the kids about having good hygiene.
Two puppets, manned by Joel and Joseph, helped to reinforce what the kids just learned in the social drama and helped to segue into the gospel drama.
A completely African drama team presented the story of Jesus in a clear and simple way to kids ages 3-12 yrs old, plus teachers and bystanders.
Close to 1000 kids and adults heard about Jesus in a relevant way Monday, many of which prayed to give their hearts to Christ!
The goal of the outreaches this year is to portray the joy of the Lord and that is exactly what we have seen this first day!
